Giant Supermarket offers discounts on 650 daily essentials; unveils new logo and store experience

Giant, one of Singapore’s leading supermarket, today announces the launch of a nation-wide campaign that will see Giant lowering the prices of hundreds of everyday essentials across selected fresh and grocery items to help customers make a Giant difference to their wallet. The discounts will last for at least six months.

Check out what’s on discount at Giant’s e-catalogue here! You can enjoy the discounts both online and in-store. Look out for the ” LOWER PRICES THAT LAST” thumbs up logo.

To achieve this, Giant has invested up to S$17 million in price reductions for 650 everyday essentials. These are not short-term promotions, but long-term price reductions that will last for at least 6 months, for products that matter most to customers. This investment follows the result of Giant’s research on what matters most to customers, which is fresh and quality products at great value, as well as a positive shopping experience.

This is in light of the increasing financial strain experienced by many families due to the impact of COVID-19 and the anxiety that comes along with it. With lower prices that last, Giant hopes to play its part in supporting Singapore during these challenging times.

“This is not a gimmick, this is real. This is our largest single investment in lower prices in over a decade. We have listened and acted on what our customers have told us on what matters most to them in these tough times – lower prices, better quality fresh food and an improved shopping experience.”

Chris Bush, Dairy Farm Chief Executive Officer for Southeast Asia Food Business

NEW STORE EXPERIRENCE

About 2,000 new products have also been added to Giant’s stores, along with such features as $1 zones and stalls selling fried chicken. But note that due to space constraints, only its hypermarkets in Tampines and IMM will have the full range of new offerings.
