Our favourite geeky highlights from DC FanDome

DC FanDome was every DC fan’s dream come true. Despite not being able to host or attend comic conventions this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, fans were able to enjoy geeky panels and witness exciting announcements to keep them happy. Here are our favourite geeky highlights from the online event:

A new trailer for new adventure-action movie Wonder Woman 1984

Linda Carter made a special appearance at the Wonder Woman 1984 panel during DC FanDome, but the main highlight was getting to see a new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. In the trailer, we finally get to see what Kristen Wiig in costume as the villain Cheetah. We also get a look at the great costumes in store for the movie.

It still hasn’t been revealed how Steve Trevor survives after the first ‘Wonder Woman’ movie, so I guess we’ll have to wait for the movie to solve that particular mystery. The film is set to be released in October 2020. Watch the new trailer here:

Gameplay trailer for ‘Gotham Knights’

WB Games debuted a gameplay trailer for ‘Gotham Knights’, which looks to be a completely different direction from DC games of the past. With various movesets and options that are customisable, it looks like an ultra fun game. Plus, it is announced right in the beginning that Batman is dead, so it’s very likely that he won’t be featured in this game. Looks like we’ll get a chance to get to know new characters in a DC game for a change!

The game is set to hit consoles in 2021. Watch the gameplay trailer here:

The first teaser trailer of movie The Batman starring Robert Pattinson

Prior to DC FanDome, many people were unhappy with the casting of heartthrob Robert Pattinson as Batman. However, the first teaser trailer of The Batman shows great promise. Director Matt Reeves shared that the film will not be an origin story, but will actually start in Year Two of the emergence of Batman, the Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman. We get to see all of these characters in the dark trailer; and they all look amazing!

Filming for the movie is set to resume in September, while the movie is set to be released in October 2021. Watch the trailer here:

Cinematic trailer for action-adventure game ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’

After hit video game ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ was launched over five years ago, we finally got a glimpse of what Rocksteady has been working on. Upcoming co-op game, ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ is another DC game to look out for, other than ‘Gotham Knights’. Here, we’ll get to have a blast trying to kill the Justice League. Just like in ‘Gotham Knights’, Batman will not be making an appearance, seeing as it is set in the Arkham Universe.

‘Kill the Justice League’ is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in 2022. Watch the cinematic trailer here:

Clips from the Snyder Cut of 2017 movie Justice League

Many DC fans were unhappy about how the movie Justice League came out under the direction of Joss Whedon back in 2017. Many believed that the movie would have come out much better had Zack Snyder not left the project. In numerous interviews in the past, Snyder has spoken up about how different his vision for the movie was. For starters, he had planned for it to be four hours long. Second of all, it seems like the entire tone of the movie would have been different altogether.

We finally go to see clips of the Snyder Cut, which is set to be released in May 2021 on HBO Max. Watch the clips here:
