KidsFest! 2020 – Mr Men and Little Miss coming to Singapore for the First Time!

From 31 January to 16 February, KidsFest! 2020 will make its highly anticipated return to Singapore, dazzling young theatre lovers and enthusiastic fans with four world-class theatre productions adapted from exciting and well-known children’s books.

Presented by ABA Productions, Scamp Theatre, Selladoor Family, Rockefeller Productions and Tall Stories, KidsFest! Will feature shows that celebrate well-loved children books that are thoroughly enjoyed by people of all ages – The Gruffalo, Stick Man, The Gruffalo’s Child and for the first time, Mr Men and Little Miss are coming to Singapore, bringing the Roger Hargreaves’ characters to life on stage.

The Gruffalo

Conceived in 1999 and premiering in 2001, Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the award-winning picture book has toured the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia – including runs in London’s West End, on Broadway and at Sydney Opera House. The London Times reviewed it as “irresistibly charming”.

The Gruffalo’s Child

Tall Stories’ adaptation of the sequel to The Gruffalo was created in 2005 and has also toured the UK, the West End and the world (including another trip to Sydney Opera House), receiving four-star reviews in Time Out, the Evening Standard and the Scotsman (among others). Songs, laughs and slightly scary fun for the whole family.

Follow the Gruffalo’s Child on her adventurous mission in Tall Stories’ enchanting adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

Stick Man

From the creators of the Gruffalo children’s book, Stick Man is back by popular demand! Touching, funny and utterly original, this award-winning production features a trio of top actors and is packed full of puppetry, songs, live music and funky moves.

Mr Men and Little Miss

This brand-new show comes from two of the leading family theatre producers: Selladoor Family whose recent tours include Madagascar the Musical and James and the Giant Peach and New York-based Rockefeller Productions, the creators of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant Show.

For the very first time, join your favourite Mr Men and Little Miss characters as they leap off the page and onto the stage – as puppets – in this beautifully crafted and hilarious live stage show!
