Local Breakfast Buffet @ The Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Singapore – Savour the Best Singapore Classic Dishes in One Venue

If you are looking for a more luxurious setting to bring your foreign guests to sample some authentic Singapore classic dishes at a price that won’t burn a big hole in your wallet, consider The Lobby Lounge at Shangri-la Singapore.

The hotel has a Local Breakfast Buffet priced at S$29.50 per pax, available from 8am to 11am on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. You get to savour a wide selection of local delights from the buffet spread plus a choice of a signature dish from their a la carte menu with a tea, coffee, Kopi Tarik or Teh Tarik.

To present the best local signature dishes from Singapore, The Lobby Lounge collaborated with various renowned local F&B establishments such as The Coconut Club and Springleaf Prata Place to bring you the very best Nasi Lemak, Roti Prata and other iconic dishes.

Nasi Lemak prepared with an original recipe from The Coconut Club, a Michelin’s Bib Gourmand Singapore 2018 awardee
Roti Pratas with Dhalcha and Fish Curry, in collaboration with Springleaf Prata Place

Tuck into iconic dishes such as Dry Wanton Mee or Soft Boiled Eggs with Kaya Toast from the a la carte menu (available on both weekdays and weekends), or enjoy them with a semi-buffet of light bites such as baos and kuehs in the local breakfast buffet on weekends only, from 8am to 11am.

Items from the buffet spread, ranging from light bites like kuehs to fried bee hoon, glutinous rice and more:

The biggest selling point for this Local Breakfast Buffet is really letting guests have access to all the best local classic Singapore dishes in one venue, curated from some of the best F&B establishments around. When you want to introduce your foreign friends to all the best Singapore dishes without having to drive all around Singapore to eat them one by one, this is a great alternative.

For locals like myself, it is still a great setting to fix a craving for a wide assortment of local dishes in a cosier setting. Yes, you pay more than eating at a hawker centre of course, but that’s for quality and comfort when you want to pamper yourself a little. Besides, check out the awesome pool view from the Lobby Lounge:

Also, you will be eating in a posh setting like this:
