Shopee continues to drive the 11.11 shopping phenomenon in the region as it set new records on 11 November. Regional highlights include:
Users visit the platform daily to play and win prizes via Shopee’s collection of in-app games, including its first augmented reality game: Shopee Catch. The games were played over 150 million times across the region in three weeks.
In addition, Shopee brought non-stop entertainment to users with 65 million views recorded regionally across its 11.11 Big Sale streams. Taiwanese actress-singer Rainie Yang, K-pop girl group GFriend, and more also joined special streams to celebrate the finale of the Shopee 11.11 Big Sale with users.
In Singapore, Shopee 11.11 Big Sale treated users to almost three weeks of unstoppable promotions and entertainment, headlined by free shipping and 10% cashback with no minimum spend.
Brands and sellers on Shopee received a huge boost to their sales on 11 November. Top-performing brands recorded an average of 359 times increase in visits and 658 times growth in sales, while shopping activity peaked at 12:00 AM.
Male users are shopping most often for Beauty & Personal Care and Mobile & Gadgets products, with the hottest items being the Colgate Brand Box, Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale 2 and Nintendo Switch. In addition, users aged over 50 purchased items like the V-Collar Korean Knitted Tee, Roborock S6 Robot Vacuum, and Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask.
Users are also increasingly shopping for more big-ticket items during 11.11, including the Dyson Cyclone V10™ vacuum, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, and LG 43 Full HD TV.
