Raise your glasses for the CHIJMES Summer Beer Festival

A man once said, “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy beer”, and because we understand and can relate to that… Introducing the CHIJMES Summer Beer Festival! *cue crowd cheer*

If a glass of cold, refreshing beer is what hits the spot for you after a long week then you’ve gotta join us at this Summer Beer Festival happening over the weekend from 31 May 2019 (6pm-11pm) and 1 & 2 June 2019 (4pm-11pm) at The Lawn at CHIJMES, where you’ll get to taste over 20 beers from all around the world!

Some of these 20 beer choices include the Pilsner Urquell (Served by Almost Famous Craft Beer Bar). Brewed in Plzeň (Pilsen), Czech Republic, Pilsner Urquell is the world’s first blonde or pale lager hopped with Saaz hops.

Hacker Pschorr Weisse (Served by Frieda), a wheat ale filled with fruity and citrus-y flavours accompanied by a hint of acidity but with the light sweetness of bananas honey and bitter notes of nutmeg.

There’ll also be Moa Session Pale Ale (served by Moa Tiki Bar & Grill), West Coast IPA (served by Brewerkz), Passionfruit Wheat (served by Pasteur Street Brewing Company) and Spiced Mead (served by Lion City Meadery).

It ain’t a proper festival if there aren’t any food and entertainment right? Hence CHIJMES has some exciting drinking games available such as Beer Pong and Cup Flip Challenge with prizes such as beer and vouchers to be won!

Aside from beers, Frieda will also be offering some delectable food items such as the Laugen Breadstick with Grilled Slice of Meat Loaf, Mustard and Gherkin made with tender oven-baked meat, German Gherkins and Dijon Mustards. There’ll also be Rye Sourdough Bread with Mustard and Farmer Grill Sausage or Smoked Beef Sausage

Almost Famous Craft Beer Bar will also be serving up some scrumptious food items so you can grab some of their distinctive, unique snacks to pair up with your lush, flavourful beer. Jack & Cheese Sandwich, Szechuan Sourplum Kacang Putih, Beyond Sloppy Bun and Chili Tater Tots both made with Beyond Meat, a plant-based meat substitute, great for the vegans!
