Domino’s Pizza gathered 30 of the best pizza makers from 14 different countries to compete for the title of Fastest Pizza Maker in the Asia Pacific region.
During the competition, participants are tasked with assembling 3 large pizzas topped with pepperoni, mushroom, and cheese respectively, in the least amount of time. Each pizza is also evaluated by a panel of judges based on the pizzas’ weight, saucing, portioning, and placement of the toppings.
In this regional competition held in Singapore, finalists from the Asia Pacific region assembled the 3 large pizzas in an average of about 1 minute and 39 seconds. In the end, My Huynh from Vietnam emerged champion.
My Huynh’s winning round clocked in at 1 minute and 4.6 seconds.
Also, of special mentions are Jieon Bae from South Korea and Minori Yanamoto from Japan who emerged runner-up and second runner up with lap times of 1 minute and 13.3 seconds, and 1 minute and 13.7 seconds respectively.
The top three winners took home cash prizes of USD 750, USD 500, and USD 250.
The competition is open to all pizza makers at Domino’s Pizza Asia Pacific.
