Mitzo at Grand Park Orchard has refreshed their Cantonese cuisine menu, curated by Executive Head Chef Nicky Ng. The new menu features a selection of fusion dishes, going for a balance between classic and modern to create timeless Cantonese cuisine with a contemporary touch.
Their menu is divided into 12 sections; Supreme Specials, Soup, Appetiser, Fish, Seafood, Poultry, Meat Dish, Tofu, Vegetable, Rice, Noodles and Dessert.
The Appetiser section sees one of Mitzo’s current crowd favourite, Mitzo Premium Dim Sum Platter undergoing a refresh. The dish, which originally features two servings of Royal Shrimp Dumpling with Caviar, Shrimp and Pork Dumpling with Baby Abalone, sees a new addition of Steamed Dumpling with Shrimp, Scallop and Sea Urchin.
Guests can also opt for the Mitzo Premium Starter Platter, which includes their signature Mitzo Special Barbecue Pork, Prawn coated with Caviar Sesame Mayonnaise, Monkey Head Mushrooms with Salted Egg Yolk, and Lobster Claw in Cumin Sauce:
Other menu highlights include the Pan-fried Scallops with Milk and Egg White, topped with Crispy Scallop, which features scallops served with a creamy sauce consisting of milk and egg white, topped with crispy scallop for added crunch; and the Deep-fried Chilean Sea Bass with Enoki in Truffle Sauce.
Fans of Mitzo’s popular dishes will delight in old favourites such as Black Truffle Crispy Roast Duck, Peking Style Duck, Crispy Roast Pork Belly, Mitzo Special Barbecued Pork, Roasted Coffee Pork Neck served with Crispy Beancurd Skin and Chinese Pancake.
These are some of the dishes I sampled from the Mitzo’s refreshed menu:
What I really like about Mitzo is their presentation of familiar flavours in an unexpected way. Cantonese roasts are something which our palates are accustomed to and rather than reinventing the wheels here, Chef Nicky Ng chose to present them in a wholly different visual representation from typical Cantonese cuisine. My favourites here are the roast meats – namely their signature barbecued pork and the coffee pork neck.
