First Starbucks Boutique Store in Singapore Now Open at Tampines Mall

As Starbucks Singapore celebrates its 22nd anniversary, an innovative brand-new concept and the first-ever boutique store is now open from today (14 Dec, 2018), in one of Singapore’s leading suburban malls, Tampines Mall.

The two-storey building features a radically different aesthetic, featuring glass panels for naturally-lit interiors complemented by wooden accents throughout. The ground floor is a spacious oasis for shoppers, while the second story is set with comfortable arm chairs, sofas and soft lighting for a cosy coffee session.

The Starbucks Boutique Store is located at Tampines Mall, and aims to inject fresh flavor into the coffee scene in Singapore and to upkeep the consistency of great and innovative coffee experiences enjoyed at Starbucks counters across the island.

The bar will be helmed by trained Coffee Masters and baristas working at coffee machines used at the World Barista Championships – the VA388 Black Eagle Espresso Machine. Currently the first such machine in the heartlands (and only available at two other Starbucks outlets), this machine allows the barista full control over the consistency and precision in every aspect of a coffee – from bean ratio to brewing time and water temperature – directly impacting the barista to customer connection. The boutique store will also feature beverages like the Nitro Cold Brew and handcrafted manual brew methods: Chemex, Pour Over, Coffee Press at the interactive coffee bar.

“We celebrate 22 years of being in Singapore today, and it is only fitting that we open the Starbucks Tampines boutique store to mark this milestone. Since our first store in 1996, we have been committed to providing our customers with unique experiences, and this store is testament to our commitment,” shared Patrick Kwok, general manager, Starbucks Singapore.
