Asia’s premier beachfront music festival unveils the theme of its 18th edition and a first glimpse of the mainstage. Themed The Interplanetary Voyage, the ZoukOut stage is set to be a vision that will awe the crowd with its grandeur and futuristic elements.
Expanding across 36 meters wide and 20 meters tall, the stage is modelled after Zouk’s Spanning 36 meters wide and 20 meters tall, the Moon Stage is modelled after Zouk’s iconic lighting fixture, the ‘mothership’ in the main dance room. Designed byUnlimited Productions, a professional team that previously worked on other prolific festivals including Tomorrowland, Daydream Festival, Breda Live and Tinderbox among others.
Resembling an intricate spacecraft, the structure is tiled with reflective steel panels, metallic connecting tubes, vertical strips of plasma LED screens, and a focal center eye which features a protruding circular vessel mimicking that Zouk Eye and is programmed to project hynotizing graphics. Flanked and lined with strobe lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and CO2 jets, the ZoukOut 2018 stage will be a sight to behold.
A refresh of the creative direction sees ZoukOut 2018l featuring its first 3D model to front the campaign, in place of the traditional female model. Designed by Los Angeles based visual artist, Blake Kathryn, whose notable works include The Chainsmoker’s ‘Side Effects’ music video, and campaigns for Adidas Originals and Complex x Sprite. The 3D model is created with Blake’s signature aesthetic of surreal undertones, futurism and vibrant palette in line with the festival theme following the narrative of a ‘fembot on a mission’.
Staying true to the consistent cast of top-notch acts the festival has brought the last 17 editions, this year’s headliners will be nothing short of hair-raising. Australia’s Timmy Trumpet, legendary producer Jeffrey Sutorius, and electro house gargantuan, KSHMR will be joining the previously announced DJ superstars, DVLM, Galantis and W&W on 1 December.

A vibrant festival ground brimming with activities and fringe performances all around, this year’s roving acts include Cyber Japan dancers, stilt walkers, fiery performances by the Ekta Singapura dance troupe, LED-decked dancers and more. Festival goers looking to liven up their festival get-up can head over to the Body Marbling station, or visit the OGX and Lazada booths for hair and beauty refreshes.
FOOD VILLAGE
Festival goers can look forward to grilled specialties such as the signature Sangers from Burnt Ends, mouth-watering meats from Meatsmith, Spanish delights including tapas favourite, Patata Bravas from FOC Sentosa (FOC Group), and Vietnamese street classics including the Banh mi with Caramelized 5-spice Pork Belly for a hearty pre and post dance fix. All of which are set at affordable prices. More vendors will be announced at a later date.
POP-UP VIP DINNER WITH BURNT ENDS AND FOC SENTOSA
A first for the 18 year-old festival, ZoukOut will be presenting a boutique dining experience with celebrated restaurants, Burnt Ends and FOC Sentosa. Primed as a VIP-exclusive culinary affair by the esteemed teams behind the 1-Michelin-star modern Australian barbeque restaurant and Spanish Mediterranean sanctuary by Michelin-star Chef Nandu Jubany, guests can expect to feast on a full-course, convivial dinner lined with over 15 exquisite plates and pass-arounds against an idyllic, sunset by the beach backdrop.

Official hotel and travel packages are also available for the ones travelling from abroad and the locals looking to party without worrying about the morning after.
