Borderlands 4 Set for September 2025 Launch — Pre-Orders Now Live with New Vault Hunters and Massive Post-Launch Plans

2K and Gearbox Software have officially opened pre-orders for Borderlands 4, the next explosive entry in the genre-defining looter-shooter franchise. Launching worldwide on September 12, 2025, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later in the year.

A Bigger, Wilder Borderlands Adventure

Borderlands 4 promises the biggest world yet, introducing players to the sprawling planet of Kairos. You’ll step into the shoes of one of four brand-new Vault Hunters, each equipped with unique abilities and a near-infinite arsenal of weapons. As they take on the tyrannical Timekeeper and his Order, players can look forward to enhanced traversal mechanics and more chaos-packed action than ever before.

Expansive Post-Launch Content Incoming

Post-launch, fans can expect a mix of free and paid DLC, including two new Vault Hunters, brand-new regions, story and side missions, new enemies, challenges, and more. Additional details about these expansions will be revealed in the lead-up to launch.

Editions & Pre-Order Bonuses

Three editions of Borderlands 4 are available for pre-order now:

  • Standard Edition (US$69.99)
    Includes the base game.
  • Deluxe Edition (US$99.99)
Comes with the Bounty Pack Bundle, offering four post-launch DLC packs, Vault Cards, exclusive cosmetics, vehicles, gear, and the Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin.
  • Super Deluxe Edition (US$129.99)
Includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus the Vault Hunter Pack, which adds two Story Packs with new Vault Hunters, additional map regions, cosmetics, and the Ornate Order Pack (four skins, heads, and bodies for your Vault Hunter).

Players who pre-order any edition will receive the Gilded Glory Pack—featuring one Vault Hunter Skin, one Weapon Skin, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin. This bonus is exclusive to pre-orders and will be available for separate purchase post-launch.

All content will be playable on NVIDIA GeForce NOW for PC users via Steam or Epic.
