The NCO Club’s Entertainment Lounge Cool Cats opens with a line-up of international artists

Cool Cats, the last of four concepts to open within Singapore’s newest entertainment lifestyle destination, The NCO Club – is set to refresh Singapore’s speakeasy cocktail scene with an edge of entertainment.

Curated as a modern-day innovation on the legacy of the speakeasy, the live entertainment lounge will cater to =urbanites seeking eclectic refinement in their spirits and a great atmosphere.

Propelling Singapore’s Speakeasy Scene Into The Future With Cues From Prohibition’s Past

Cool Cats features more as an upscale lounge than a traditional speakeasy. While it retains an air of sensuous secrecy and the enigmatic charm of prohibition, it also speaks of an urban sanctuary that transcends formulas.

With entry through an unmarked wooden door, Cool Cats is tucked away from prying eyes.  A dimly lit padded hallway opens into a sprawling 60-seater visual spectacle.

Your eye is directed immediately to a fluorescent green bar straight ahead – headed by Navin Raj, Mixologist and Bar Manager, The NCO Club. It is encased by minimalist décor and plush seating.

The main space is sectioned into three different areas featuring a bar, a live music lounge and a roped VIP area. Hidden from view is a sunken salon behind the bar area dedicated to the social elite and business trailblazers who want extra privacy away from the reverie.

Bar Signatures: A Cosmopolitan Twist To The Old Fashioned

Bar signatures such as the Mezcal Negroni, Queen’s Park Swizzle and The White Lady are refreshed with an artisanal twist. For example, The White Lady, a 20th century classic that is traditionally composed of gin, lemon, sugar and egg white is given an inventive touch comprising of almond syrup and almond liqueur, instead of sugar. Almonds are also used as a garnish to give it a more nutty taste, distinctive to the classic.

A World Stage For Music

As a cosmopolitan playground, Cool Cats presents a weekly curation of acclaimed international artists to Singapore’s stage. The opening month line-up includes beats from the streets of New Orleans, rhythm and blues of Australia and waves of London’s underground music scene.

The stage will also welcome esteemed names in the international music circuit such as a Australian multi-instrumentalist James Morrison who will be holding a ticketed event, as well as Dan Barnett, Sulene Fleming, Nat Adderly Junior and Paulette McWilliams among others in the year ahead.
