Burlamacco Ristorante Ultimate Recovery Brunch from S$48 per pax

Italian restaurant, Burlamacco Ristorante, is offering an Ultimate Recovery Brunch from S$48++ (food only) every Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm whereby diners get to indulge on and order as much food as you want. Free-flow Bloody Mary, Espresso Martini, Prosecco and wines are included for S$78++ per pax or you can add S$12++ for free-flow soft drinks, coffee and tea for non-alcoholics. For kids, the spread is available at S$24++ per child up to 12 years old.

Details:

The brunch menu showcases Chef Gabriele Piegaia’s classic specialties, featuring a variety of homemade pasta, fresh seafood, succulent grilled meats, gelato and an assortment of desserts to choose from. I went for a tasting on a Sunday with my son, Asher and these were the items sampled:

Egg benedict with salmon and caviar
Prosciutto di Parma with musk melon
Prune with ham
Avocado with tuna tartar
Beef tripe with tomato base
Seafood aglio olio
Beef ragu
Chicken with fries
Sea bass with potato wedges
Christmas fruitcake
Slicing it open
Chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream
Tiramisu

As you can see, the restaurant serves a variety of traditional Italian home-cooked favourites which are excellent comfort food for the soul. No wonder it’s aptly named as an “ultimate recovery brunch”!

The standout dishes for me were the pasta dishes which were cooked perfectly to the right texture. The beef tripe was particularly memorable and you can’t stop munching once you chew on a piece. If you are seeking to indulge in some Italian comfort food, this is the restaurant to hang out with your friends for a catch-up brunch.

Burlamacco Ristorante was opened in November 2012 by Executive Chef and Owner Gabriele Piegaia and is located in the CBD area at Amoy Street, drawing a steady flow of regular customers over the years. For those who drink, the restaurant has a decent collection of wine, with a built-in cellar:

If you are interested to visit the restaurant, details are as below.
