What To Do This Weekend: Santa’s Workshop @ The South Pole

Why twiddle your thumbs till the Christmas weekend when you can start celebrating now?

With less than two weeks away from our most favourite time of the year, here’s an event that will guarantee a jolly good time: Santa’s Workshop @ the South Pole.

Taking place this weekend at South Beach Avenue, you’re set to indulge in an early Christmas treat at this massive one-stop Christmas party cum art market, courtesy of The Local People. Watch as South Beach Avenue transforms into a Christmas wonderland of its own, and every one of you are in for a delightful day of food, entertainment and activities!

Activities for Kids

At Santa’s Workshop @ the South Pole, there is something for every kid. Children will be thrilled to try out carnival-styled activities, such as face painting and exciting games booths. Who wouldn’t like a Christmas carnival?

There will also be a photo booth complete with Christmas props for you and your loved ones to preserve your Christmas memories. To top things off, part of the proceeds from the carnival games will be donated to charity – a true embodiment of the spirit of giving this festive season.

Christmas Entertainment

Treat yourself to some quality entertainment from our local talents. On all three days of the Christmas carnival, performers will take the stage at 3pm and 8pm.

Tune in to the harmonious vocals of Rene and Stef, or bask in the talents of Sydney’s Band. If music isn’t quite your thing, or if you missed it, fret not; you can still be thoroughly entertained by award-winning comedy ‘Lulu The Movie Official’ – the film screens at 7pm daily, so plant your butt at your lucky spot fast!

Festive Workshops

Gear yourself up with new skills just in time for Christmas. An array of workshops are available for visitors to unleash and nurture their artistic capabilities. Try your hand at designing and painting fondant cookies at the Christmas Day Fondant Cookie bar, or pick up some modern calligraphy from a brush lettering artist. Alternatively, pick up some sewing and stitching skills through the creation of lovely pin badges or trusty pouches.

Eat, Drink, Make Merry

Excite your taste palettes with the perfect Christmas dining experience, set to take place on one of the longest, communal dining tables. Delightful delicacies to be featured include burrito bowls by Vatos Urban Tacos, infused brews by Alchemist beer lab and perfectly charred meat from Fynn’s. Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. Satisfy your sweet tooth with decadent Christmas cakes from the likes of Lady M!

South Pole Shopping

Immerse yourself fully in the Christmas spirit with some last-minute shopping. And where better to do that than at a Christmas bazaar? Instead of combing through crowded shopping malls, being the perfect Santa is a simple matter of picking up unique treasures at the fair.

From specially-crafted accessories (check out @galandco and @bidds.singapore!) to exclusively-sourced Tea brews (@luxeteas), you are sure to find some precious gems. To complete the gifting process, grab some punny, one-of-a-kind Christmas cards from @laughandbelly to go along with your gifts.
