Christmas is fast approaching and many people are clueless as to how they should spend it. Orchard road is always a go-to spot as there are plenty of food, booze and beautiful lighting decor. This year, you definitely can’t miss it.
The whole 2.88km stretch of Orchard Road will be filled with endless wonder this Christmas with buskers, light ups, and pop up stores. There are pop up stores for everyone, from Häagen-Dazs for foodies to Tiffany & Co. Fragrances for the ladies.
Although it trails an actual experience in the Santa Claus Village in the Arctic Circle, Singapore’s first Great Christmas Village does promise to be a place for everyone if you’re sticking around for the holidays.
Live bands will serenade you while you grab a bite from participating F&B vendors.
Children will be entertained with the roving cosplayers and three amusement rides. There is The Ocean Ride (an ocean themed merry-go-round), The London Train, as well as The Tea Cup. The rides cost S$5 each.
The light ups are from 3pm to 12am on Sundays to Thursdays, and 3pm to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. If you can’t make it for those timings, don’t worry – the light ups will be lit from 3pm to 6am on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The Christmas Village is open from 25 November to 25 December, from 11am to 10pm daily. During the long weekend and Christmas week, it will be open until 11pm.
