5 Bosses to Kiss at Work

Have you seen this video? A Beijing-based company from the Tongzhou district that allegedly makes their female workers line up between 9 and 930am in the mornings to kiss their boss on the lips every day before they start work. More than half of the company’s staffs are female and the company’s boss claims that this practice will improve the company’s work culture and is an attempt to strengthen the bond between the manager and employee.

Disgusting? Like what the…? But let’s say if you could choose the bosses to kiss at work, who would it be? We share our list.

1) Donald Trump

Topping the list is presidential election candidate, Donald Trump. With so much news going around about him on running for the upcoming USA presidential election, don’t forget that he is also a businessman who hosted and co-produced The Apprentice, a reality television series where he’s also the boss. Kiss him right or else he might just snap back at you “You’re fired!”. Let’s just hope he doesn’t win and become president for the world’s sake.

2) Mark Zuckerberg

Let’s move on to a more likeable nominee in the list. Internet entrepreneur, Mark Zuckerberg is the chairman, CEO and co-founder of social networking website, Facebook. His net worth is estimated to be US $55.3 billion as of October 2016, ranking him as the 5th richest person in the world. This is one boss we are sure most female workers won’t mind kissing at work but so sorry to say this to the ladies but he is already taken and married to Priscilla Chan.

3) Michael Scott (Steve Carell)

“People say I am the best boss. They go, God, we’ve never worked in a place like this before. You’re hilarious. And you get the best out of us.” – Michael Scott in The Office

Next up we have Michael Scott played by actor, Steve Carell from the comedy drama series The Office. Self-declared “World’s Best Boss” with a mug, Michael is the central character of the series, serving as Regional Manager of the Scranton branch of paper distribution company, Dunder Mifflin Inc. for 7 seasons. Kisses won’t be the only thing you will be sharing with him, laughter too. This boss is one to watch and be entertained every day at work with the irritating things he do and the funny things he say.

4) Irene Ang

Who says bosses have to be men? Moving on to the local scene with a woman nominee for the list, Irene Ang, a household name in Singapore (and some say in Malaysia) who played Rosie Phua in Singapore’s longest running comedy sitcom, Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd and subsequently Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd. She is not only a host and actress but also CEO of Fly Entertainment, an artiste management company. For this case, we would really want to be her instead, the boss getting kisses from all the good looking and talented artistes under her wing.

5) Velda Tan

This is for the male workers. Lastly, we have #GirlBoss, Velda Tan of the local fashion scene. Together with her sister, Viola Tan and friend, Rachel Lim, they first started Love, Bonito which grew from a blogshop to a full-fledged online fashion store. Velda later left Love, Bonito and started her own label, Collate. She is one pretty female boss to kiss at work, that is if husband, Frederick Yap would approve.

Do you have a boss in mind you want to kiss at work? Share it with us.
