Singapore Book Fair, the longest running book fair in Singapore, will be held from 3 to 9 June at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hall 401 and 402.
You have to be there because Alvinology says so:
《在生活中阅读》(In Books, We Live)
《他们的枕边书》(Bedside Reads)
《关于阅读》(About Reading)
On a serious note, reading is seriously good for you.
My parents cultivated me to adopt a reading habit from young and I personally see the benefits. The more I read, the more knowledge I accumulate. I hope to pass on the same values to my son, Asher.
Even till today, I still read around two to five books each month.
Visiting book fairs is a good way to get into the habit of reading. Instead of shopping for fashion, try shopping for books and you may just find it equally therapeutic like I do.
Why not start with this upcoming book fair?
The Singapore Book Fair 2016 will be officially opened by Ong Ye Kung, Acting Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) & Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence on 4 June.
This is the 31st edition, refreshed and revamped with new content and activities this year. With “In Books. We Live” as the theme, the event will integrate five major components, namely literature, creativity, family, food and travel to provide a unique experience for visitors to the fair.
New highlights include a Creative & Lifestyle Zone showcasing brands and merchandises by local designers and entrepreneurs; lifestyle workshops such as Peranakan Tile Colouring, Typesetting and Sewing to engage visitors, focus on comic art featuring local and regional comic artists, and a book cafe set up by The Travelling C.O.W (Chefs on Wheels) to make reading an even more enjoyable experience.
