If you love crabs, you won’t want to miss Crabby Saturdays at W Singapore

Exclusive for the month of April, The Kitchen Table at W Singapore in Sentosa Cove presents Crabby Saturdays, a Saturday-lunch special running from 2 to 30 April 2016, 12pm to 3pm.

The Kitchen Table at W
Attention to details – even their table water is served with infused fruits

Claw away from the city crowd to the exclusivity of Sentosa Cove for a seafood feast that will satiate your crustacean cravings and pep up your afternoon.

I headed down last weekend with Rachel and Asher to enjoy some crab dishes. Here are the dishes we tried:

Southern style crab bisque served in a bread loaf (S$14)
Lots of freshly peeled crab meat in the soup
3 crab sliders with cheesy fries and remoulade sauce (S$22)
Flat lay of the sliders
Homemade crab rangoon, chipotle aioli (S$10)
Crab meat and char siew wok fried rice (S$33)
Crab curry kankrar’r jhol with steamed rice (S$33)
Large, fresh Sri Lankan crab
Wok fried crab with tamarind and chili (S$33)
Fruit popsicles to kill the heat

All the seafood served at the hotel are sourced from sustainable supplies, in line with the eco-friendly commitment of the hotel chain globally.

The chef shared that the items are kept a la carte so as to ensure guests get the best quality seafood and also to avoid unnecessary food wastage. I like that and the prices are kept reasonable too, with fixed prices on the crab versus ‘market rate’ pricing.

Must-try dishes are the two whole crab dishes – the crab curry kankrar’r jhol and the wok fried crab with tamarind and chili. The latter dish uses just two ingredients, but the flavours are strong and enhances the tastiness of the crab meat.

These two dishes are highly recommended because they carry distinctive flavours which are surprise delights to the tastebuds, deviating from the usual Singapore style Chili Crab and Black Pepper Crab options.

There are three more Saturdays left for you to enjoy this special promotion. Go try it!

À la carte from SGD10++
Set for two SGD68++ (2 starters or soups, 1 fried rice or pasta, 1 curry or wok fried crab)
Set for four SGd98++ (3 starters or soups, 1 fried rice or pasta, 2 curry or wok fried crab)

The set menus are real steals. Even with the addition of 10% service charge and 7% GST, it is comparable to eating seafood at much less refined eateries. Don’t miss this amazing deal!
