Jack’s Place, a familiar name in the local restaurant scene, recently introduced their youthful extension, Jack’s Cola Café. Why this name?
In 1967, the founder of Jack’s Place, Mr. Say Lip Hai, took a lease in a shophouse in Jalan Legundi, Sembawang and named it Cola. In fact, it was Mr. Say who started the first Singapore restaurant chain and his family has always been sentimental about Jack’s Cola.
This year, Jack’s Place brought back the brand Jack’s Cola Café featuring popular Jack’s Place cakes and pastries, pies, and ice-cream collaboration with home-grown brands such as popular ice-cream creamery Udders and another local coffee brand Smitten Coffee, and with the retail concept which sells Jack’s Place marinated steaks, sauces, craft beers and boutique wines to Jack’s Place serving steak and escargot platters at reasonable rates.
The first Jack’s Cola Café is located at B1 of Paya Lebar Square, besides a Jack’s Place restaurant. Here are the items I tried:
The decor is pretty spiffy with even a retail section:
It will be a nice hangout place for youths and family crowd alike. My son Asher enjoyed the sundaes very much.
