[GIVEAWAY] Tickets to Shakespeare in the Park

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”
PROSPERO, ACT IV, SCENE i

Shakespeare’s appeal is timeless. That, perhaps, is the reason why Singapore’s Repertory Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park has become a highly anticipated annual event in Singapore’s cultural calendar and is returning for the ninth time. Taking place at Fort Canning Park from 29 April to 24 May 2015, the outdoor theatre experience this year is set to be a stunning production of The Tempest.

In the past, Shakespeare in the Park has been characterised by lavish sets by an impressive creative team and seasoned actors. This year, the production is said to be the grandest to date, with the tallest set ever built in Singapore. The cast features Julie Wee as Miranda, Tim Wan as Ferdinand and Simon Robson – one of the finest actors in the UK – as Prospero.

The Tempest will be performed every Wednesday through Sunday from 29 April, with dedicated student nights on Fridays. The gates will open at 6.30 pm for ticket holders to select spots to picnic. Performances commence at 7 pm.
