A tutorial on how to use the Entertainer 2015 app

If you’re not one to pass up on a good deal, then you have to know about the Entertainer, an application which is full of 1-for-1 dining, leisure and travel offers. Since using it in the second half of last year, I have saved an estimated total of $459. Not bluffing you. Look at this:

Other than the fact that you have you pay for the app ($60 at early bird price, $54 with application of discount code 2015ALVIN), there is no catch. It is not a group purchase deal, your serving of food is not compromised and there is no minimum purchase required.

Then, you register your account and set your PIN. If you ever forget it, you can always reset it under “Account” in the app.

There are a few ways to search for a restaurant or merchant you can use your Entertainer offers at.

1. Enable location services for the app. Then you can tap on the “Singapore” at the top of the screen to choose which type of offers you are seeking. If you want to look for a restaurant, choose “Restaurants” and “Near Me”. The F&B offers will appear in your main screen according to proximity.

2. Another way to view what offers are near you is to tap on “Map” at the top right corner of the screen.

3.  However, if you want to see what are the 750 offers, you can choose “Alphabetically” to view them in alphabetical order.

4. You can also tap on “Search” at the bottom of the screen if you want to seek out a merchant, shopping mall, hotel, area or cuisine you have in mind.

When you are ready to ask for the bill, this is how you redeem the offer:

1. Inform the waitstaff that you are using the Entertainer’s 1-for-1 voucher. Then, tap on the merchant’s voucher on your screen.

 

2. A window will pop out asking for your PIN to unlock the offer. Enter your PIN. Then, pass the phone to the waitstaff for them to enter their merchant PIN.

 

3. Done! You have now unlocked the voucher and the cost of the second item will be deducted from your bill.

While there are only three vouchers per merchant outlet, you can combine up to four vouchers to pay the bill at the same table. That’s a total of eight main courses for a party of eight!
