Goodies Galore at Orchard Central Christmas Dreamland

This festive season, Orchard Central (OC) transformed itself into a magical Dreamland. Orchard Central recently won is Best Dressed Building 2014 (Voters’ Choice), awarded by the Orchard Road Business Association. This category was newly created for 2014. In the previous three years, OC bagged the Overall Winner in Best Dressed Building contest for three consecutive years.

It is hence no surprise that Orchard Central is poised to delight with outstanding glitter and magic with the OC Christmas Dreamland.

How did OC keep winning the best dressed contest?

With lots of creativities and goodies galore for shoppers to give the best overall festive shopping experience. I visited OC last weekend with my family to check out their Christmas Dreamland makeover.

Spread over approximately 3,600 square feet of space around and within the mall, the OC Christmas Dreamland brings one into a fairytale-like landscape where shoppers are greeted by a galore of whimsical fairies,unicorns and elves cheekily dressed as trees, all set against a lush greenery backdrop of Orchard Road in the day and a starry-lit mythical forest by night. The highlight of its all is an 8-metre tall rotating Christmas tree located on the ground floor.

There are lots of places for photo opportunities within OC. My son Asher love the unicorns and ran around, trying to spot all of them to take photo with.

Best of all, there are FREE instagram printouts for shoppers! Simply take a photo and post it on your instagram account with #OCDreamland, then proceed to the OC Christmas Marketplace instagram printing counter on the first floor. Point out to the staff which photo is yours and voila! I printed two beautiful pictures of Rachel and Asher:

The Photo Collection Station is open 3pm – 6pm every Friday to Sunday, 14 November to 21 December, as well as 24 and 25 December.

For parents with young kids and for those who are young at heart, OC Dreamland features artificial snow over the weekends at 5pm. “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”

Other than fun activities, the OC Christmas Dreamland also features a festive bazaar at Discover Walk (Level 1), from 11am to 10 pm daily from 14 November to 26 December. The OC Christmas Marketplace features a curated list of 15 vendors including DEAN & DELUCA, The Bakery Chef , local artisan food producer The Hunters‘ Kitchenette, Iggy’s Craft and more.
