Hong Kong’s #OccupyCentral protests in pictures

Sun rising over the protest site in Admiralty

The Occupy Central movement in Hong Kong is entering its third week with no end in sight.

As the impasse continues, here are some pictures I’d snapped over the last 10 days.

Large crowds in Admiralty
Protesters staging a sit-in on Connaught Drive
Umbrellas – Symbols of the protests
Stand-off in front of the Chief Executive’s Office
A man threatening to jump off a bridge unless the protest is called off
The ‘Lennon Wall’, which contains tens of thousands of Post-Its, notes, and drawings in support of the Hong Kong protests.
Make-shift steps to cross the road dividers
Study area for protesters
Need a shower while protesting?

Modified signs
Protesters have set up shrines – a customary way to honour the dead – for Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying
The main protest leaders meeting the press
The ‘tent city’ in Admiralty
The “Umbrella Man”
Acrobatic performances at midnight

And now, moving on to the protest site in Mongkok.
