Morganfield’s @ Suntec City

American diner, Morganfield’s had opened a second restaurant in Singapore at Suntec City, following the success of their first outlet at Star Vista. They just turned two this month in Singapore and deployed a kickass mascot to celebrate with guests at their restaurants:

Morganfield’s specialises in Southern cuisines, with an emphasis on barbecued meat, especially ribs. The signature dish, Sticky Bones, are traditional, prime pork ribs, slow-cooked and smoked to tenderness, served with a variety of different sauces.

What I know about American food is that the portions are always huge, sinful and indulgence. Basically, fuss-free comfort food. They may not serve the most beautiful or sophisticated dishes, but always great to wolf down together with friends or when you have a hunger pang.

Here are some of the stuff I tried during a tasting session:

Verdict?

Go for the Sticky Bones ribs. They are lip-smacking good. Pick less heavy flavours for the ribs so the natural fragrance and juiciness won’t get masked by the sauce. The appertisers and desserts are average.

I like the restaurant’s layout which allows for large group seatings, making it perfect for group gatherings.

The menu seems to be a little on the pricey side for comfort food though, but they do have a lot of promotions and offers going on. Make use of it for the best dining deal:
