Bar-hopping is so noughties. In circa 2014, cafe-hopping is, in hipster-speak, totes amazeballs, at least according to the organisers of Cafe Fest Sg.
Perfect for the coffee and coffee art lovers (though I believe if you are any of the above, you’d have already done your fair share of cafe hopping around town) looking to up their social quotient , Cafe Fest is happening over 2 days on 6th and 7th September at the Waterfront Promenade.
And it’ll be a boon if you happen to not have been to these coffee joints, which are going to be prominently featured in the festival programme. They are: OZ Specialty Cafe, Jimmy Monkey, I am, Maison Ikkoku, Cake Love, The Providore, Smitten, Hatter Street and Toby’s Estate. The organisers are adding more names to the list as we write.
Say you’re just using this to gather up with friends who might not too cray cray about their cuppa joes, Cafe Fest has entertainment from local musicians lined up for them too. There are the familiar faces like 53A and MarcXHashy as well as up-and-comers The Sessionists, Zacquine Miken and Daniel Oliver Choo.
Admission is free of charge. But if you’d like to have your caffeine overdose, be sure to purchase your passes (from $20) in advance.
