Tucked in heartland Jalan Besar, near to the Jalan Besar Stadium, Windowsill Pies specialises in artisan dessert pies. They also served some savoury items like sandwiches, but it is not the main draw. Go for the sweet pies.
Rachel and I went to try out their pies, making us of the Entertainer app’s 1-for-1 vouchers. We ordered one pie and a pot of tea to get another pie and pot of tea free:
By a chance encounter, I found out from a friend that her brother is working as a chef at Windowsill Pies. He happens to be a good friend of mine back in primary and secondary school.
He was in when we visited and we took a picture together:
The pies were pretty good. We will be back to try more pies!
I like the scandinavian minimalist, but homely restaurant decor. Eating at Windowsill Pies felt like eating in a small wooden cabin hidden in the thick woods.
