From the name itself, one can easily tell that Fern & Kiwi is a New Zealand-themed restaurant. Located in vibrant Clarke Quay, Fern & Kiwi features a bar and live band on the ground floor and a chic, quiet, fine dining setting on the second floor.
It has been in operation for over a year now, with a recent push to promote the restaurant part of the business:
The menu offers a selection of New Zealand food, wines and beers, seeking to bring the taste of New Zealand to Singapore diners.
When we think about New Zealand, green pastures, beautiful mountains and free roaming livestock comes to mind.
This is also the kind of gastronomy experience Fern & Kiwi seeks to bring out, focusing on fresh, pure and all-natural New Zealand local ingredients and produce.
The meats in the restaurant are imported from New Zealand and are all free-ranged. There is less fat and marbling, but it gives a leaner texture and is healthier to consume.
These are the dishes I sampled on my visit:
The pictures are mouth-watering isn’t it?
They taste just as good. I particularly love the meat dishes.
Price is on the steep side, but you pay for quality.
The restaurant pays attention to the smallest details in their menu. I was pleasantly surprise when the general manager shared with us that they import pure air cubes from New Zealand to serve with their premium bottles:
Fern & Kiwi offers one of the most extension selection of New Zealand beers and wines with 33 to 7 wine labels including Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc and Ata Rangi Pinot Noir. They also house a range of exclusive labels such as Te Mata and Revolution Wines which are served only on tap.

I went there with my family last year and the experience was good:) but looks like it has changed many items including the desserts and this definitely tempts me for a revisit. The grilled lamb rack with the roasted garlic looks delicious and I thought it was a pineapple instead of garlic at first...haha
