Dr Koh Poh Koon Goes “Sight-Seeing” in Punggol East

After losing the Punggol East by-election to the Workers’ Party candidate, Lee Li Lian by more than 10% of the total valid votes, People’s Action Party’s candidate, Dr Koh Poh Koon, graciously went about Punggol East yesterday in an open-top sight-seeing bus to thank his voters:

I do not know who chose the sight-seeing bus for Dr Koh’s thank you parade, but it seems a rather awkward choice as it will place him high above Punggol East residents who may want to shake his hand or talk to him.

No wonder no one seems to wave back to Dr Koh:

Dr Koh feeling very high
Dr Koh waving to supporters???
Dr Koh waving to supporters??? ???

It must be lonely up there.

Wait, there are some people who did wave back:

Though I pity Dr Koh, I also find these two uncles very satki!

On a serious note, regardless who won or lost for the Punggol East by-election, all the four candidates who stepped forward did so because they believe they can contribute to Singapore and bring progress for our nation.

We have to thank all of them for showing us what real democracy is by giving us a wide choice of candidates (some at the expense of losing their election deposits) and also for providing us with a preview of what to expect for the next general election.

Majulah Singapura!

  • These are proof that these whities may have IQ but no EQ. Don;t you think they are behaving like god or demi-god to "look down" at those lesser mortals ?

  • Notice he stands high and mighty, out of reach and out of touch with ordinary folks. Compared to the WP lorry where the young and old could and did rush up to the WP people to shake hands and present flowers.
