I would never have visited New Seafood Restaurant (新海鲜餐馆) if not for my friend, Mark’s recommendation. The restaurant is located in a secluded corner of Chua Chu Kang with limited natural human traffic flow. People who dine there clearly made an effort to commute there just for a meal.
Moreover, the name “New Seafood Restaurant (新海鲜餐馆)” is way too generic… what were the owners thinking?
Nonetheless, the wide variety of seafood and zi char dishes on their menu were really reasonably priced. Mark told me his total bill rarely exceeds S$50 for 4 pax and he always orders a lot. There’s no service charge and GST, but the restaurant only accepts cash payment.
Here’s our order for 4 pax during our last visit:
Crabs were out-of-season then, if not we would have ordered one or two crab dishes. I would not rate the food at New Seafood Restaurant to be of fantastic quality, but they are acceptable at their pricing point.
It is a nice, quiet seafood place to chill out with unlimited free parking, thanks to how ulu the place is. 🙂
