Grand Opening of Overtime @ Dempsey Hill, featuring Lin Chi-ling (林志玲)

Last week, I attended the grand opening of OverTime, a new watering hole at Dempsey Hill together with a group of friendly bloggers and members of the media.

OverTime has five outlets in Malaysia, with three more to be launched soon. They currently have two outlets in Singapore – one in Dempsey Hill and the other in Holland Village.

It is targeted at after-hour working crowd as a place for relaxation and enjoyment. One of the key item on their menu is the Starker Beer, a Double Gold Medal Winner in the Asia Beer Awards 2010 under the “Wheat Beer” and “Pilsner” categories.

Taiwanese supermodel and actress, Lin Chi-ling (林志玲) graced the red carpet for the grand opening and was the star attraction for the night.

When she brushed pass me within just a shoulder width apart, it suddenly became clear to me why so many men have fallen under her charm. Graceful, sweet and with a body-to-die-for, she epitomises all the qualities of the perfect Asian beauty.

To officiate the launch of OverTime at Dempsey Hil, Lin Chi-ling and Alan Loh, Head of Entertainment and Marketing of OverTime Headquarters, served the very first pint of the Starker Beer in the traditional German way – by hammering a tab into the barrel.

The night followed on with more entertainment. Guests partied the night away as they raised their steins and grooved to the ‘live’ performance of familiar tunes by local independent band, The Repeats, enjoyed free-flo of Starker Beer and sampling the various cuisines available from the OverTime Menu.
