My First Time on the Hippo Bus Tour

The previous Friday, I got to go on the Hippo Bus for the first time in my life, together with a group of omy.sg bloggers and deejays from Radio 100.3 and Radio 91.3

The special after-dark hippo tour was one of the Night Out @ Bras Basah Bugis events organised by the two radio stations and omy.sg. You can read the experience shared by the other bloggers HERE.

It’s fun being a tourist in my own country for a night. The Hippo Bus is basically an ordinary bus if you sit on the lower deck. It’s the open-roof upper deck that makes the difference – you get a good view of Singapore’s cityscape as the bus slowly weave through the traffic.

Here are some photos I took:

After the Hippo tour, the bunch of us who joined the Radio 100.3 bus were brought to the nearby PoMo (the former Paradiz Centre in Selegie Road) where they hosted us to a sumptuous dinner at a Japanese-styled food court on the top floor. The food was pretty good at food court price. The surprise of the day was the weird Japanese ice cream dessert which came in a condom-like, breast-shaped packaging… seriously. It got everyone all cackled up.
