Last Friday, I attended the trade launch for SoShiok.com, the newest food site to come under the wing of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH)‘s family of websites.
For food lovers, SoShiok will be another place to visit to search for exciting new places to dine, wine, as well as to share food reviews and interact with others.

Food! Food site launch of course must have good food!
The site is still in it’s beta stage. How do you guys find it compared to other existing local food sites (including omy’s Eat!)? Do leave a comment. 🙂

Hi alvin,
was invited to the launch, but couldn't make it on the day. Anyway, some comments if you don't mind.. in terms of navigation of the site, i still prefer hungrygowhere.com, think its simpler and more intuitive. Plus their cleaner layout looks more pleasant to the eye.
Their recommendations are also based on user-submitted reviews, and the overall ratings aggregated. this probably makes the rating more credible, and evenly spread out as opposed to 1 person's opinions.
The right banner on the homepage of soshiok also looks quite pixellated. :(
I know its all in beta, so there should be more updates coming along over time... so all the best!
Cheers,
Hi vinyarb,
Candid feedbacks are great. :) In any case, I am not in the SoShiok team anyway, but will relay the feedback to them when I bump into them.
