M1 Maxx Boosts $12 SIM Only Plan to 600GB with Local Data Now Usable in China

M1 Maxx has enhanced its flagship S$12 per month SIM only plan by increasing its local data allowance from 500GB to 600GB while introducing a first for Singapore’s SIM only market. Customers can now use their local data allocation in China, making the plan one of the most comprehensive options for frequent travellers without any increase in monthly cost.

The upgraded plan offers 600GB of local data that can be used across eight markets, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, India and Bangladesh. According to M1 Maxx, it is the first SIM only plan in Singapore to include China, India and Bangladesh under a single shared local data allowance, eliminating the need for separate roaming packages or local SIM cards when travelling to these destinations.

The enhancement comes as travel demand to China continues to grow. According to the YouGov Singapore International Traveller Outlook 2026, China recorded the largest year on year increase in travel consideration among Singaporeans, rising by 6.6 percent. It also registered the biggest improvement in overall favourability as a travel destination, making it one of the fastest growing outbound markets for Singapore travellers.

In addition to data roaming, customers travelling in China can also make voice calls through VoLTE without incurring International Direct Dialing charges. This is made possible through M1’s partnerships with China Mobile and China Telecom, the country’s two largest telecommunications operators.

For customers travelling beyond the eight included markets, the plan also provides 7GB of international roaming data, 20GB of Asia Pacific roaming data, unlimited voice roaming and 600 International Direct Dialing minutes, offering wider connectivity across more than 100 countries and destinations.

The SIM only plan operates on M1’s 5G network in Singapore and does not require a long–term contract. Customers also benefit from fixed monthly pricing with no hidden fees, providing greater flexibility for those who travel frequently or prefer contract free mobile plans.

The enhanced M1 Maxx S$12 per month SIM only plan is available for a limited time from 7 July to 3 August 2026.
