Race Against Cancer 2026 is set to return for its 18th edition, bringing together families, friends and the wider community in a collective show of support for those affected by cancer. More than a race, the event serves as a meaningful platform for participants to stand in solidarity with patients and their loved ones, with every step symbolising hope, strength and remembrance.
Organised to raise funds for Singapore Cancer Society, proceeds from the event will go towards supporting programmes and services that provide care across every stage of the cancer journey, from treatment support to emotional and practical assistance for patients and families.
The physical race will take place on 20 September 2026 at Angsana Green, East Coast Park, with flag off scheduled from 6.30am to 10.30am. Participants can choose from 2km, 5km, 10km and 15km categories. Registration and qualification will close on 23 August 2026 at 11.59pm, while fundraising efforts will continue until 15 October 2026.
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available, allowing participants to complete their runs anytime and anywhere using the Strava app. The virtual categories include 21km and 42km distances. Registration closes on 19 September 2026, with the run period taking place from 20 September to 15 October 2026, 11.59pm. Fundraising for both physical and virtual participants will continue until 15 October 2026.
Beyond participation, the impact of the initiative continues to be felt across the community. In 2025, the Singapore Cancer Society disbursed $2.88 million in financial assistance to patients and families. More than 3,500 patients received support annually through subsidised treatment, medication and medical equipment, while over 8,000 counselling sessions were provided to help patients and their families cope emotionally throughout their journey.
