Huawei has officially announced that its latest compact tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini, will be available in Singapore starting 24 April 2026. Marking the brand’s first entry into the small-sized tablet category locally, the new device is designed to deliver a refined, portable experience for work, entertainment, and creativity on the go.
Built with mobility in mind, the MatePad Mini features an 8.8-inch display housed in an ultra-light 260g body with a slim 5.1mm profile. Its compact size allows it to fit easily into handbags or even large pockets, making it an ideal companion for professionals, students, and readers who need productivity tools anytime, anywhere.
Despite its small footprint, the tablet is engineered to handle a wide range of tasks, from document editing and note-taking to streaming and creative work, without compromising on comfort or usability.
A standout feature of the MatePad Mini is its flexible OLED FullView display, which boasts ultra-narrow 2.99mm bezels and an impressive 92% screen-to-body ratio. With a 16:10 aspect ratio, 343 PPI pixel density, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, users can expect vibrant and immersive visuals.
For enhanced viewing comfort, the optional PaperMatte Display reduces up to 99% of ambient light interference. This eye-care technology minimizes glare and strain, delivering a paper-like viewing experience even in bright environments or while commuting.
Paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, the MatePad Mini offers a smooth, natural writing experience that closely mimics pen on paper. Integrated with apps like Huawei Books and Notes, users can easily switch between reading and jotting down ideas, supporting a fluid “read anytime, write anywhere” workflow.
For creatives, Huawei’s GoPaint app provides a range of realistic tools suitable for both beginners and experienced artists. The tablet’s lightweight design also allows for easy one-handed use, making sketching and capturing ideas more intuitive.
The MatePad Mini combines portability with reliable performance and security. It features a fingerprint-enabled power button for fast authentication and a 32MP front camera for high-quality video calls and streaming.
Powering the device is a 6400mAh battery supported by 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology, ensuring long-lasting usage with quick recharge times, ideal for users constantly on the move.
The HUAWEI MatePad Mini will retail at $748 and will be available from 24 April 2026 at HUAWEI Experience Stores, online platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as authorized retailers such as Challenger, iShopChangi, and MetaPod.
Customers can enjoy up to $624 worth of free gifts with purchase, including the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, a folio cover, PC-level WPS 3.0, and extended service benefits such as a one-time battery replacement within three years.
An early bird promotion will also offer $20 off via platform vouchers from 24 April to 8 May 2026, while stocks last.
