Lazada and Michelin Partner to Improve Tyre Buying Experience in Southeast Asia

Lazada, one of Southeast Asia’s leading e-commerce platforms, has announced a strategic partnership with Michelin, the globally renowned tyre manufacturer. The collaboration aims to enhance the online tyre purchasing experience and consumer engagement across Southeast Asia.

Through this partnership, both companies will co-invest in a new framework designed to streamline the tyre-buying process while improving operational efficiency and maintaining high standards for product quality and customer service.

Making Tyre Purchases Easier Online

Buying tyres can often be a complicated process for many consumers. The new collaboration seeks to simplify this journey by making it easier for shoppers to discover, compare, and purchase tyres online through Lazada’s platform, particularly within its premium brand marketplace, LazMall.

The initiative will initially launch in Thailand, before expanding to other markets across Southeast Asia. By combining Michelin’s expertise in tyre technology with Lazada’s digital ecosystem, logistics infrastructure, and regional reach, the companies aim to create a more seamless and trustworthy online shopping experience for drivers.

Bringing Michelin’s Innovation to the Digital Marketplace

Known for its innovation in materials science and mobility solutions, Michelin brings decades of experience in delivering high-performance tyres designed for safety and reliability. Through this partnership, the company will bring its trusted products and service standards into the digital marketplace.

The collaboration will also integrate Michelin’s authorised local partners and distributors directly into the Lazada platform. This move is expected to help partners grow their businesses by improving inventory management and connecting them with Lazada’s millions of active users across the region.

Supporting Road Safety and Consumer Education

Beyond improving online shopping, Lazada and Michelin also plan to work together on road safety awareness campaigns. These initiatives will educate consumers about the importance of proper tyre maintenance, timely replacements, and safe driving practices.

Strengthening Loyalty and O2O Experiences

As part of the partnership, Lazada will support Michelin in building its loyalty programme by leveraging Lazada’s recently launched membership system. The initiative will also strengthen Michelin’s offline-to-online (O2O) strategy, bridging physical tyre retailers with digital customer interactions.

By combining Michelin’s trusted brand reputation with Lazada’s digital capabilities, the partnership aims to deliver a more convenient, transparent, and reliable tyre shopping experience for drivers across Southeast Asia while promoting safer roads for everyone.
