This Chinese New Year, Millenia Walk ushers in the festive season with “Together in Prosperity”, an immersive celebration that reimagines traditional customs through art, creativity and shared experiences. Designed as a contemporary cultural playground, the mall transforms into a vibrant space filled with interactive installations, participatory artworks and hands-on workshops, inviting families and friends to slow down, reconnect and welcome the New Year with optimism.
Organised by Pontiac Land Group under the Millenia Walk Creative Neighbourhood initiative, the celebration adopts a people-first approach by spotlighting local talent and reinforcing the idea that true prosperity lies not only in material abundance, but also in presence, generosity and togetherness.
At the heart of the celebrations is House of Lucky Paws, a six-metre-tall merry-go-round installation created in collaboration with Singaporean artist Roy Wang and creative studio FACTORY. Reimagined from the Dreams of Santa Paws Merry-Go-Round showcased during Christmas, the Chinese New Year edition features a giant animated cat paw that continuously beckons visitors in welcome.
The installation reinterprets the fortune cat as a symbol of renewal and shared abundance. Surrounded by glowing “Meowly” sculptures and neon scenes of everyday joy, House of Lucky Paws encourages visitors to pause, connect and embrace togetherness as the foundation of prosperity.
The merry-go-round is open:
Shoppers can also take home a piece of the celebration. With a minimum spend of ,800, visitors can redeem an exclusive MW x Artist Lucky Paws Magnet Pouch, created in partnership with FACTORY. Each limited-edition pouch is serialised, underscoring its collectable value.
As part of its festive programme, Millenia Walk presents a curated line-up of interactive pop-ups and cultural activities designed to bring the community together.
One of the highlights is the Largest Ball of Fabric Strips, a participatory art installation by Singapore-based multidisciplinary artist Natalia Tan. Made entirely from repurposed textile waste, the evolving artwork invites the public to contribute by braiding, knotting and tying festive fabric strips. The installation aims to be Singapore’s first attempt at a Singapore Book of Records title, while exploring themes of sustainability, regeneration and tuan yuan (togetherness).
Public participation takes place from 23 to 25 January 2026, with the exhibition running until 3 March 2026 at The Great Hall.
Families and young creatives can also look forward to the Creative 3D Printing Chinese New Year Collage Workshop by creative collective PLAY!, happening on 7 and 8 February 2026. Blending traditional craft with light technology, participants will create festive collages using repurposed ang paos before bringing them to life with a 3D pen. The workshop is designed to encourage creativity, reuse and shared moments during the festive season.
Beyond hands-on activities, Millenia Walk offers a range of festive pop-ups and art exhibitions. The Crane Living Festive Pop-Up Store provides a thoughtfully curated selection of tableware, décor and lifestyle pieces for those hosting Chinese New Year gatherings, alongside works by local designers across fashion, jewellery, wellness and home accessories.
Art lovers can explore the Sound of Art exhibition series, featuring Under The Vast Blue Sky by Mongolian artist Byambajargal, and Spring Unfolding, a showcase of vibrant abstract works by emerging Asian artists that reflect themes of renewal and hope.
For those seeking a reflective start to the year, MW Curious Circle: The Art of New Horizon offers a guided Ikebana and Tea Pairing Experience, combining Japanese floral arrangement with thoughtfully prepared refreshments in an intimate setting.
The festive season culminates in a traditional Lion Dance performance on 23 February 2026, bringing blessings of good fortune, prosperity and renewal to the mall.
Shoppers at Millenia Walk can also enjoy exclusive Chinese New Year rewards with qualifying spends, including parking rebates, curated red packet sets, pralines from Conrad Singapore Marina Bay, and the coveted Lucky Paws Magnet Pouch. The top 10 spenders during the campaign will each receive a Timothy London Cavendish Check-In Suitcase.
