Gardens by the Bay has partnered with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) to spread festive cheer and meaningful family experiences, gifting 5,200 complimentary tickets to lower-income NTUC union members and their families for MY LITTLE PONY: Petals of Friendship at Floral Fantasy.
The initiative was officially launched today with a special preview hosted for 100 NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiaries and their families, marking the start of complimentary entry to Floral Fantasy for eligible families until 12 April 2026. The ticket giveaway is part of Gardens by the Bay’s Gift of Gardens, a community outreach programme that provides access to the Gardens for local residents who may otherwise be unable to visit.
Since December 2024, Gardens by the Bay’s partnership with the NTUC-U Care Fund has already enabled 5,600 beneficiaries and their families to visit attractions such as the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. With the latest ticket donation, the initiative’s total reach is set to exceed 10,000 individuals.
The launch event was graced by NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Mr Desmond Choo, who joined families as they explored the colourful MY LITTLE PONY-inspired world and took part in specially curated activities, including hair tinsel styling and temporary tattoos.
Under the scheme, NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiaries who have successfully balloted for the tickets can redeem up to five Floral Fantasy tickets from 17 December 2025 to 12 April 2026.
Gardens by the Bay has also been a proud partner of the NTUC Care Empowering Dreams Programme since December 2024. The programme, run in collaboration with NTUC Club, aims to enrich the lives of children and youths from lower-income families through recreational and educational experiences. To date, more than 100 beneficiaries have taken part in guided educational activities at the Flower Dome, including sustainability-themed tours and behind-the-scenes experiences that promote environmental stewardship.
MY LITTLE PONY: Petals of Friendship is the latest showcase at Floral Fantasy, transforming the space into a vibrant botanical celebration inspired by Hasbro’s globally beloved franchise. In the lead-up to the Year of the Horse in 2026, the showcase blends the world of Equestria with colours, florals and traditional motifs drawn from Chinese culture.
Four fan-favourite ponies: Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle take centre stage, each set within bespoke landscapes that reflect their personalities, from energetic, dynamic blooms to soft pastel florals. They are joined by Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadance, showcased against a majestic three-metre-tall castle façade and stained-glass-style backdrops inspired by Canterlot.
Featuring more than 2,000 plants, the showcase highlights carefully curated planting schemes using blooms such as hydrangeas, lilies, roses and petunias, chosen to mirror each pony’s unique charm. Visitors can also shop limited-edition MY LITTLE PONY merchandise at a dedicated pop-up store within Floral Fantasy.
