[Review] From Chinese-style Burgers to Matcha Yoghurt, We Checked Out the 5 Newest F&B Offerings at Pasir Ris Mall

This December, Pasir Ris Mall unveils five new F&B tenants, from the rising burger chain Shiok Burger, to Chinese food at Delibowl, Western cafe food at Tree Cafe, Korean food at Mi Bibimbap as well as yoghurt soft serve at smöoy.

We were invited to go on a food crawl to taste samples from each of these restaurants, starting from Delibowl.

Delibowl menu items

We then received sample portions of their signature Hunan Style Beef,

as well as their latest menu item, Black Gold Sesame Oil Chicken.

The beef was tender with a slight spicy kick and the chicken was laden with flavour. I liked the bell peppers at the side.

To wash it down, we were given some Ice Lemon Tea, which was sweet and tangy with the sugar and lemon down at the bottom.

After that, we tried bite sized portions of burgers from Shiok Burger, such as their Mala Chicken burger,

along with their new Hunan Grilled Chili Century Egg Chicken burger.

The burgers were good, with the bread being chewy and the chicken being spicy and succulent. The century egg burger managed to balance out the strong taste of the century egg with spice, making it an enjoyable quick meal.

Next up was The Tree Cafe, serving up a cozy ambience to sit down and relax in.

The food was laid out on one big table, and we were invited to take what we wanted from which dish we wanted, buffet-style.

On the table was their Chic and Waffle,

Beef and Cheese Burger,

Aglio Olio,

Creamy Salmon Pesto Pasta,

Sous Vide Duck,

and their Christmas Special Platter of ribeye steak, breaded fish, sausage, ham, and grilled chicken.

The chicken was crispy and actually paired well with the sweet waffle. The duck was probably the best item there, being pretty flavourful and well cooked. The Christmas plate was huge, and would be great for big groups. The cafe has a nice atmosphere to it, making it a nice place to sit down and chat at.

After that was my personal favourite of the five, Mi Bibimbap, serving Korean food with free flow rice, kimchi and soup on the side.

We were offered a variety of dishes, from their Pork and Beef Bibimbaps,

to their Angus Beef Bulgogi,

their San Bei chicken,

Spicy Squid,

Braised Eggplant with Minced Meat,

Cheesy Corn,

Tomato and Beef stew,

Cheesy Chicken Rice Cake,

Fish with Pickled Cabbage,

and Braised Deep Sea Cod.

The food was delicious and flavourful, with the Tomato and Beef Stew being my personal favourite.

Although it looked spicy, it was surprisingly sweet and the beef was nice and tender. The free flow kimchi also was nice, with the cabbage being crunchy and crisp.

Finally, we ended the long gastronomical trail with dessert at smöoy. We were invited to choose from two different types of yoghurt flavours, normal and matcha.

Normal
Matcha

They gave us some special Christmas sprinkles which added a crunch to the smooth, soft texture of the yoghurt. I still prefer the basic one, as I am not a fan of matcha.

Overall, Pasir Ris Mall has gained 5 new great quick lunch spots that you can totally go for if you are in the area.
