Shopee is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Singapore with a major commitment to the local business community: a S$50 million investment over the next year to supercharge the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The leading e-commerce platform unveiled a comprehensive suite of new programmes aimed at lowering start-up barriers, enhancing fulfilment speed, expanding regional access, and strengthening long-term business capability.

With a decade of partnership behind them, Shopee is reaffirming its mission to help Singaporean entrepreneurs thrive amid a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Shopee’s new initiatives are designed to support sellers at every stage of their journey, from aspiring entrepreneurs setting up their first store to established brands looking to expand overseas.

Entry Stage: Smoother Onboarding, Lower Costs

To help new sellers get off the ground quickly and affordably, Shopee will introduce:

  • 0% commission fees for the first 120 days
  • A free 30-day trial of the Shopee Coin Cashback Programme, offering sponsored cashback, lower logistics fees, discount vouchers, and increased visibility

Shopee is also doubling down on upskilling. New entrepreneurs can tap into:

  • An expanded Seller Mentor Programme, pairing them with experienced sellers
  • More expert-led webinars and training on campaign planning, listing optimisation, and business management
  • New AI-powered tools, including AI Product Photo and AI Model Try-On, to streamline operations and elevate listing quality

Growth Stage: Faster Delivery, Increased Visibility

As SMEs begin scaling up, reliability and reach become crucial. Shopee is rolling out enhanced fulfilment and marketing solutions to help sellers grow sustainably.

Strengthened Fulfilment Support

Through Fulfilled by Shopee (FBS), sellers gain access to end-to-end warehousing, packing, and delivery services. New FBS sellers will enjoy a 12-month FBS Free Trial, including:

  • Six months of free handling fees
  • 30 days of free storage + free pick-ups
  • An additional six months at 50% off handling fees

FBS sellers also benefit from:

  • Daily Shopee-sponsored FBS vouchers
  • Increased in-app visibility and dedicated FBS campaign days

For SMEs managing their own logistics, the Next-Day Delivery (NDD) 2 Pick-Up initiative offers two daily parcel collections, improving delivery reliability and helping sellers meet rising customer expectations.

Boosting Marketing Reach

To help sellers scale without heavy ad spend, Shopee is strengthening cost-efficient visibility channels:

  • Shopee Affiliate Marketing Solutions, linking SMEs to over 180,000 affiliates and creators
  • The YouTube Shopping Affiliate Programme, enabling creators to tag Shopee products in videos, Shorts, and livestreams
  • Co-Sponsored AMS Commissions, funded partly by Shopee to attract creators
  • Upsized platform vouchers, including daily Preferred Seller-exclusive vouchers
  • New and enhanced AI-driven advertising tools for smarter optimisation and better ROI

Expansion Stage: Opening Doors to Regional Markets

As more SMEs eye overseas expansion, Shopee is making cross-border growth simpler and more affordable with two export pathways:

Shopee International Platform (SIP)

Automatically syncs Singapore sellers’ listings to key markets including Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines with Shopee managing logistics, payments, and customer service at no extra cost.

SG–MY Direct Selling Programme

Gives sellers the ability to build a dedicated Shopee Malaysia storefront, supported by traffic boosts, ad credits, and initial commission fee waivers.

Shopee is also exploring additional overseas selling lanes to help SMEs scale regionally with greater confidence and flexibility.
