Curiosity Cove Opens at Mandai as Singapore’s Largest Indoor Nature Playground

Singapore families now have a new all weather destination for imaginative play and nature discovery with the official opening of Curiosity Cove at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The indoor playscape, which launched on 21 November 2025, is billed as Singapore’s largest nature inspired indoor playscape designed specifically for children aged three to 12.

Spanning 4,600 square metres at Mandai Wildlife East, near Singapore Zoo, Curiosity Cove offers a blend of tactile and digital play across four reimagined ecosystems. Children can explore the Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands and Drylands zones, each featuring over 30 multisensory touchpoints that encourage climbing, crawling and discovery.

“The opening of Curiosity Cove today marks a significant moment in our efforts to create more unique ways for families to connect with nature,” shared Bennett Neo, Group CEO of Mandai Wildlife Group. “This playscape is all about sparking curiosity and encouraging hands on discovery, allowing children to explore natural themes in ways that are both fun and educational.”

The attraction features several key elements including a six metre tall orangutan tree bed climbing platform, a 27 metre long giant snake belly crawl through, and a musical “singing tree” that responds to movement. Two dedicated Calm Zones provide quiet spaces for children needing a sensory break.

Starting March 2026, Curiosity Cove will expand its educational offerings with specially curated learning journeys for preschools. Programs include “Curious Creatures: Who Lives Here?” exploring animal adaptations, “Curious Creatures: Who’s Chasing Who?” focusing on predator prey relationships, and a 2D1N Curious Creatures Camp with overnight stay. Complimentary resources for educators are already available.

The Ranger Buddies edutainment programme enhances the experience with daily dance sessions, early entry storytelling sessions on weekends, and themed birthday party packages.

Also opening to the public is Mandai Gallery, a permanent exhibition showcasing the transformation of the Mandai precinct. Located in the same building as Curiosity Cove, the gallery offers complimentary access to Friends of Mandai members, WildPass holders, and guests with valid attraction tickets.

Curiosity Cove operates daily from 10:00am to 6:30pm with admission by timed slots.

Ticket prices start at for one child (aged 3-12) which includes complimentary entry for one accompanying adult. Various bundle options are available, including shareable Play Date bundles for multiple visits and the Destination Pass for WildPass holders that combines access to Curiosity Cove and two wildlife parks.

The indoor environment complements Mandai’s outdoor wildlife parks, providing a weather proof space where children can engage with nature themed play year round, fostering early appreciation for wildlife and ecosystems through hands on exploration.
