Global apparel retailer UNIQLO has officially reopened its Orchard Central Global Flagship Store today. Following a preview event held yesterday, the renewed store welcomes customers back to a significantly transformed space designed around a more intuitive and customer-centric shopping journey.
Located at one of Singapore’s prime shopping belts, the flagship store first opened in 2016 and is one of only 17 such flagship locations worldwide. The redesign focuses on enhancing the entire customer experience.
Key changes include an expanded facade for better visibility of the latest LifeWear collections and a reorganized layout.
Notably, observing that women often shop for their children, UNIQLO has aligned the women’s and kids’ sections on the same level for a more convenient experience.
A major highlight of the renewed store is the significant expansion of its UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) zone, now spread across Level 1 and Level 3. This area spotlights a special “Mickey Mouse in Singapore” UT collection, where the beloved character is depicted enjoying local landmarks like Marina Bay and treats like satay.
The popular UTme! collaborations with local icons, such as Ya Kun Kaya Toast, also feature prominently, offering unique souvenir options.
In a move to celebrate local culture, UNIQLO Singapore has partnered with twelve homegrown brands, including the Asian Civilisations Museum, Kamome Coffee, and Scent by Six, to create a special City Guide. This guide features a map encouraging shoppers to explore these local businesses.
The store continues to offer the full range of LifeWear, including items and sizes exclusive to the flagship. Services like UNIQLO FLOWER and the RE.UNIQLO STUDIO for repairs and alterations also remain, reinforcing the brand’s LifeWear philosophy.
To mark the grand reopening, the store launched a weekend of festivities starting with a traditional Japanese Taiko drum performance this morning.
APP Members can enjoy exclusive offers, such as redeeming a free bake from Kamome Bakery (for the first 200 on Sept 26) or a UNIQLO Mickey Singapore Flower Bouquet with the purchase of two Mickey Mouse UTs. Shoppers who spend a minimum of $100 can redeem a special tote bag, a sure-win garapon (vending machine) spin with prizes from local brands, and a $10 voucher for DBS/POSB cardholders.
The UNIQLO Orchard Central Global Flagship Store is now open at 181 Orchard Road.
