#HuntTheMouse & DBS Launch SG60 Special Edition with $120,000 Hidden in the Heartlands

Popular cash hunt game #HuntTheMouse has returned with a special SG60 edition in partnership with DBS Bank, celebrating Singapore’s 60 years of nation-building.

Running from 14 August to 25 September 2025, the game will see 200 silver DBS Heartland coins, each worth S$600, progressively hidden across various heartland locations, adding up to a total prize pool of S$120,000.

Organised by gamification company Sqkii, the initiative aims to encourage Singaporeans to spend more time exploring the heartlands with family and friends, discover hidden gems, and support local merchants in a fun and interactive way.

This special edition introduces new features to enhance the experience.

Players with GPS enabled will receive short historical, cultural, or future-focused facts about nearby locations through a “Places of Interest” function.

In addition, “Hunting Stops” at selected bus stops and heartland zones allow participants to earn in-game rewards such as Crystals and power-ups, even if they are not actively searching for coins.

Among the available power-ups are Circle Shrink, which narrows search zones; Coin Sonar, which scans areas for hidden coins; and Metal Detector, which transforms a mobile phone into a detector when inside a game zone.

Hints for the location of one specific coin will be released daily at 6pm on Sqkii’s social media, and a real-time map on the official website provides visual clues for players to track active coins.

The first person to find a coin can redeem it for cash of the corresponding value. Sqkii emphasises community safety and respect for public and private property, with strict rules and guidelines in place. Any violation may lead to disqualification or referral to the authorities.

“As a Singaporean-owned business, we wish to honour Singapore’s 60 years of passage through games and rich media,” said Sqkii CEO and co-founder Kenny Choy. “This edition takes players on a journey of rediscovery that retells and reinvigorates Singapore’s storied legacies.”

#HuntTheMouse DBS SG60 is free to play and open to all.

More details, including the real-time game map, are available at huntthemouse.sqkii.com.
