As Singapore marks its 60th birthday, TOFU G is joining the SG60 celebrations in the sweetest way possible by giving away 6,000 cups of their signature Vegan Tofu Gelato on 9 August 2025.

No purchase is required for their one-day-only gelato giveaway. Just be among the first 6,000 to show up at the pop-up store. As a thoughtful gesture to ensure no waste of trip for everyone, if all 6,000 cups are fully-redeemed before 8:00PM, all queuers will receive a “1-for-1 Gelato return voucher”, valid for future visits.

Even without the giveaway, it is worth visiting TOFU G to try out their tofu-based vegan gelatos. I have been to the TOFU G pop-up store at Mandarin Gallery twice, and it is a charming establishment.

The space looks nothing like you would imagine of te temporary pop-up store.

Inspired by a modern Korean hanok, it felt like a quiet retreat from Orchard Road’s usual hustle. Warm wood tones, soft linen fabrics, and minimalist decor created a soothing backdrop, one that well complemented the brand’s philosophy of clean, mindful indulgence.

After my first visit to TOFU G, I knew I have to bring my son Asher to try it as we both love tofu dishes, what’s more, a gelato made from tofu.

There are a total of six flavours to choose from at Tofu G and they are all priced at $8 per serving:

• Original Tofu Gelato 대표메뉴 순두부 젤라또 (Vegan-friendly & Dairy-Free): Signature flavour, crafted from silky tofu, delivers a clean, delicate tofu flavor with creamy richness. Smooth and satisfying.
• High-Protein Tofu Gelato 고단백질 순두부 젤라또 (Vegan-friendly & Dairy-Free) (Limited daily availability): Enhanced with extra soy protein, this gelato provides a nourishing, protein-rich indulgence ideal for fitness enthusiasts.
• Pistachio Gelato 피스타치오 젤라또 (with Dairy): Loaded with premium pistachios, this gelato showcases a lush, nutty flavour with a luxurious, velvety texture.
• Black Sesame Gelato 흑임자 젤라또 (Vegan-friendly & Dairy-Free): Made using generous amounts of authentic roasted black sesame seeds, this gelato captures an intense nutty depth and aromatic richness in every creamy scoop. Fully vegan and non-dairy.
• Chodang Sweet Corn Gelato 초당옥수수 젤라또 (with Dairy): Made with premium Korean Chodang sweet corn, this gelato features fresh, golden corn kernels that perfectly balance natural sweetness with a hint of savoury, creamy smoothness.
• Korean Sweet Potato Gelato 한국 고구마 젤라또 (with Dairy): Infused generously with real Korean sweet potatoes, this gelato offers a naturally sweet, comforting taste complemented by a velvety, creamy texture.

After sampling all the flavours, Asher and I opted for the High-Protein Tofu Gelato, Black Sesame, Sweet Corn and Pistachio to enjoy in full portions:

We strongly recommend going for the Original Tofu Gelato for its silky texture, offering a whisper of soybean sweetness. It is incredible how they have transformed humble tofu into such a sophisticated dessert. For those who prefer something heavier, load up your protein with their High-Protein Tofu Gelato, another of our favourties.

Made with non-GMO soybeans and premium Korean produce, each spoonful of TOFU G’s gelatos proves that vegan desserts do not have to compromise on flavour or creaminess and can be indulgent and wholesome at the same time.
