Whisky lovers and travel enthusiasts, here is your perfect excuse to unwind after work by knocking back a glass or two. From 14 July to 31 August 2025, Suntory Whisky is offering an exciting promotion where indulging in their signature Kakubin Highballs could land you a pair of round-trip flight tickets to Japan, worth up to S$1,000 each.
The mechanics are simple:
Participants must submit their entries via the official website, where a full list of participating venues is available. The campaign runs until 31 August, with winners announced on 15 September 2025.
Note that this promotion is open to Singapore residents aged 18 and above. Terms and conditions apply, including flight redemption details and blackout dates.
Two lucky winners will each receive two economy-class tickets to Japan, with a booking window from 15 September 2025 to 31 January 2026. Travel must be completed between 1 October 2025 and 30 June 2026.
A gold medal winner at the 2024 International Spirits Competition, Suntory Whisky Kakubin is Japan’s best-selling whisky, known for its balanced blend of Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distillery whiskies.
Its crisp, citrusy highball variation, first introduced in 1937, pairs perfectly with Japanese cuisine, cutting through rich flavors while refreshing the palate.
Several popular Singapore establishments are part of the promotion, including:
We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the perfect pairing of Suntory Kakubin Highballs with Japanese cuisine at two distinct venues – Sabar at 100 AM, a traditional izakaya serving freshly grilled yakitori and comforting small plates, and Ginkyo by Kinki at One Holland Village, a modern izakaya offering creative Japanese fusion dishes.
At Sabar, the whisky’s crisp citrus notes beautifully cut through the smokiness of grilled seafood like scallops and squids, while at Ginkyo, the highball’s effervescence provided a refreshing contrast to richer, fusion dishes like Salmon Mango Salsa Tacos and Spicy Chicken Reaper, made with Carolina Reaper hot sauce.
Both experiences highlighted why this iconic Japanese highball has remained a staple since 1937.
A full list of venues can be found on the official website.
