CASETiFY Launches Nostalgic Teletubbies Collaboration – Bringing 90s Joy to Modern Tech Accessories

Tech accessory brand CASETiFY has unveiled a vibrant new collaboration with the iconic ‘90s children’s show Teletubbies, launching a nostalgic collection that combines the playful spirit of Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po with the brand’s signature customisable accessories.

The Teletubbies x CASETiFY collection invites fans to “Teletubbify” their devices with a bold lineup of phone cases, AirPods covers, laptop sleeves, phone charms, grip stands, and more. Each item is designed to celebrate individuality, self-expression and childhood joy, core themes shared by both the Teletubbies and CASETiFY.

To be honest, I am not really a fan of the Teletubbies, but 90s TV nostalgia vibes with me and this collection is just too retro cool to be ignored. For those who do not know them, the Teletubbies were among the biggest television hits during the 90s, winning multiple BAFTA awards and was nominated for two Daytime Emmys throughout its run.

Recognised throughout popular culture for the uniquely shaped antenna protruding from the head of each character, the Teletubbies communicate through gibberish and were designed to bear resemblance to toddlers. Some would say they are among the OGs of ugly is beautiful. I agree because I do find them absolutely adorable.

The purple one, Tinky Winky, whose favourite object is a handbag, has be accused by conservatives of being a covert homosexual symbol, because “he is purple, the gay pride colour, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle”. As a positive outcome, the rainbow-coloured Teletubbies has been widely embraced by the LGBTQ communities globally, particularly Tinky Winky.
