Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Races into Gran Turismo 7 as First-Ever Xiaomi Model in the Franchise

Xiaomi has officially entered the virtual racing world with the debut of its high-performance electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, in Gran Turismo 7. Announced at the opening round of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025, the groundbreaking partnership between Xiaomi and Gran Turismo creator Polyphony Digital marks a milestone for both the tech giant and the acclaimed racing simulator.

Now available on PlayStation 4 and 5, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the first Xiaomi model to be featured in the Gran Turismo series. Its arrival showcases the growing influence of smart electric vehicles in both real-world motorsports and virtual driving platforms renowned for their engineering precision and authenticity.

The collaboration was sparked by a high-profile visit in May 2025, when Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi met with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in Beijing. Yamauchi toured Xiaomi’s EV facility in Yizhuang and took the SU7 Ultra for an immersive test drive. Impressed by its Nürburgring-tested performance, he praised the EV as a standout in the intelligent performance segment.

Launched in 2024, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sits at the apex of the brand’s EV lineup, boasting an in-house developed HyperEngine V8s tri-motor system, producing a staggering 1,548 PS. With a top speed exceeding 350 km/h and 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 1.98 seconds, it currently holds multiple track records for four-door vehicles. The sleek EV features extensive carbon fiber integration for optimal weight distribution, along with advanced performance technologies like torque vectoring and adaptive damping — all tested on legendary circuits including the Nürburgring.

Xiaomi’s commitment to performance and safety has shaped the vehicle’s real-world handling and in-game realism. Through a joint development process with Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo 7 will authentically replicate the SU7 Ultra’s luxury design and dynamic driving capabilities.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi and Gran Turismo plan to take their partnership even further with the development of the Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO concept car — offering players and automotive fans a glimpse into the future of virtual and real-world EV innovation.
