HUAWEI Launches WATCH 5: Next-Gen Wearable with Breakthrough Fingertip Health Monitoring and Gesture Control

Huawei is stepping boldly into the future of smartwatches with the launch of the HUAWEI WATCH 5, available for pre-order in Singapore from 22 May 2025, starting at $548. Blending futuristic design with cutting-edge health tech, the WATCH 5 marks a new milestone in Huawei’s wearable innovation journey.

Space-Inspired Design, Premium Materials

Drawing inspiration from the Kármán Line—the edge of space—the WATCH 5 comes in two sizes (42mm and 46mm) and multiple high-end finishes. The 42mm edition features 904L stainless steel in elegant Sand Gold and Beige, while the 46mm option upgrades to aerospace-grade titanium in a bold Purple hue. All models feature sapphire glass displays, delivering top-tier scratch resistance and visual clarity.

Strap options range from fluoroelastomer and titanium to a new composite leather-style material that’s waterproof, odour-resistant, and stylishly modern.

Introducing X-TAP: Fingertip-Driven Health Insights

At the heart of the HUAWEI WATCH 5 lies Multi-sensing X-TAP technology—a game-changer in wearable health tracking. This new interface uses a 10-level tactile sensor to capture fingertip data, significantly improving the speed and precision of key health metrics.

With a 3-second press on the X-TAP sensor, users can instantly access Health Glance, a full-body report featuring six key indicators, including HRV, SpO2, and emotional wellbeing—all delivered in under a minute. HUAWEI WATCH 5 is also the first in its class to offer fingertip blood oxygen measurement, achieving medical-grade accuracy in less than 10 seconds.

Smarter Gestures, Seamless Control

With intuitive Double Slide and Double Tap gesture controls, the WATCH 5 makes multitasking effortless. Answer calls, control music, or snap a photo—no need to touch the screen. These gestures even work with third-party social apps, enhancing convenience in everyday scenarios.

Stay Connected, Longer

Featuring eSIM support, the WATCH 5 keeps you connected even when your phone is out of reach. The smartwatch also boasts a dual-mode battery, offering up to 4.5 days (46mm) and 3 days (42mm) in Standard Mode, or extended life of 11 and 7 days respectively in Battery Saver Mode.

Availability & Exclusive Pre-Order Deal

Pre-orders for the HUAWEI WATCH 5 begin 22 May 2025, with prices starting at $548. Get yours from HUAWEI Experience Stores, official Shopee and Lazada shops, or top retailers including Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, and SprintCass.
