Celebrate the Beauty of Peranakan Culture at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES for Singapore HeritageFest 2025

This May, step into a vibrant world of tradition as Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES come alive with Peranakan culture, in celebration of the National Heritage Board’s Singapore HeritageFest 2025. From 1 to 25 May, visitors can enjoy a rich lineup of hands-on workshops, stunning photo installations, and exclusive shopping rewards — all designed to honour Singapore’s intangible cultural heritage.

Hands-On Cultural Arts Workshops

Immerse yourself in the intricate artistry of Peranakan traditions through a series of interactive workshops. Hosted across select weekends, you’ll get the chance to master the delicate craft of nyonya beadwork embroidery, create your own masterpiece at a batik painting session, or paint traditional Peranakan tile motifs. Best of all, you’ll get to bring your one-of-a-kind creation home!
