Start Your Engines: Mario Kart Takes Over Jewel Changi Airport with Southeast Asia’s First Themed Installations

Jewel Changi Airport has levelled up! From now till 24 July, step into a real-life Mario Kart adventure as Jewel unveils Southeast Asia’s first-ever Mario Kart-themed installations—alongside the return of the wildly popular Nintendo pop-up store. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer, a Super Mario fan, or just looking for family fun, this immersive experience is not to be missed.

Mario Kart Jewel Circuit Challenge: A Real-World Rainbow Road

Inspired by the iconic Mario Kart 8 tracks, Jewel’s Mario Kart Jewel Circuit Challenge transforms the lush Forest Valley and Rain Vortex into a thrilling racecourse. Don’t miss the centrepiece: a massive 5m by 4m installation at the Forest Valley entrance complete with racing lights and the nostalgic Mario Kart soundtrack. Snap pics with Mario, Luigi, and the gang—and keep an eye out for a towering 1.3m-tall Banana trap!

Collect stamps at six themed photo spots spread across Levels 1 to 5 and redeem an exclusive Mario Kart sticker pack. Each blind box contains a surprise mix of characters and power-ups, making the hunt even more exciting.

Nintendo Pop-Up Returns with Over 150 New Exclusives

Located at Level 4, the Nintendo pop-up is back with over 500 items—more than 150 of which are brand-new exclusives you won’t find anywhere else outside Japan. Pick up official merchandise from Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, and Pikmin. Fans can also score a limited-edition T-shirt to mark the occasion.

Unlock More Fun with Gachapon and Social Challenges

Spend S in a single receipt at participating stores and redeem a token to play the sure-win Gachapon machine near the Level 1 Concierge. Prizes include gift cards, attraction tickets, and discounts—plus Mastercard users get a bonus token. Prefer to guarantee your play? Tokens are also available for S via the Changi App.

From 1 to 12 May, you can snag a free Gachapon token by participating in the Nintendo Photo Challenge. Just post photos of the Mario Kart installations on your socials, follow Jewel’s social media, and show your post to staff at Level 1 Concierge to redeem.
